In general one should:

1. Cleanse the ear lobes front and back once or twice a day with Studex/Bagatelle/MediSept anti-septic (do not remove studs)
   
   
2. At least twice a day apply the above anti-septic to the pierced hole and slide the studs back and forth in the ear to work the solution into the hole. Turn the studs (like winding a watch) several times a day.
   
   
3. When shampooing, be sure that the soap is completely rinsed from the ear lobes. Cover ear lobes when using spray cologne, hair spray or hair dye. Keep the hair away from ear lobes whenever possible during the healing process.
