Child Care

St. Stephen's Community House operates four provincially licensed child care centres that focus on meeting the physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of children ranging in age from three months to 12 years.

Our child care centres offer:

  • Fee subsidies for eligible families
  • Kindergarten and school age children escort service to and from school
  • Staff trained in Early Childhood Education
  • Multi-lingual staff who also speak French, Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Greek and Farsi
  • Field trips, tennis lessons and swimming in the summer
  • Nutritious hot lunch, plus two snacks prepared by on-site cooks
  • Diapers for infants and toddlers
